Hey Product Hunt! 👋
I’m Marco, founder of Formalini. Most document extraction tools fall into one of two extremes: Overly complex enterprise software requiring 6-week setup cycles, custom training models, and €500+/month minimums. Generic OCR that dumps unformatted walls of text without understanding what the fields actually mean.
We built Formalini to bridge that gap: instant, human-grade extraction from paper, phone photos, multi-page PDFs, and even messy handwriting into clean JSON, Excel, or database-ready webhooks—with zero prior training.
Here is what makes Formalini different:
⚡ Try before you even sign up: Drag and drop any invoice, receipt, or cursive note directly on our live testbed at formalini.com/send and inspect the structured output immediately.
📂 Case Folder for Legal & Operations: Upload entire nested folders of case files or inspection reports. Formalini parses them in real time, generates an interactive timeline, maps people and money flows, and traces every data point back to its source file.
🔌 Built for Real Workflows:
Enterprise connectors for UiPath, Power Automate, SAP, ServiceNow, and Salesforce. Full Model Context Protocol (MCP) server so your Claude or local AI agents can query and ingest documents directly. High-performance REST API and webhooks for developers.
🌍 True Multi-language Support: Complete native localization across English, German, French, Spanish, and Romanian.
🎁 Product Hunt Special: We offer a generous free tier with 25 free documents to get started.
Check it out at formalini.com and drop any document you want to test. I’d love your feedback on extraction accuracy and edge cases!

70 votes. #24 out of 1,176 products on Product Hunt until now.
For some products, that might just be another launch metric.
For me, it feels a little different.
Formalini has been a very personal project. Not only because I believe in it but also that it helps me and my family and can help you too. Of course, the huge experience as an coder, architect, CEO, CTO and all in between has helped me build this.
There isn’t a large engineering team behind it.
For 9 months, I’ve been building it largely on my own — architecture, backend, frontend, infrastructure, APIs, security, document processing, workflows, website, integrations, testing, deployments… and then switching hats and trying to figure out pricing, marketing, sales and how to actually get people to discover it.
Some days I’m the CEO.
Most days I’m still the programmer.
And occasionally I remember I’m supposed to do marketing too. 😂
So seeing 70 people vote for Formalini and watching it reach #26 among 1,176 products genuinely meant something to me.
But this launch isn't the finish line.
It’s actually much closer to the beginning.
Formalini started with a relatively simple idea:
What if a document didn't end at “OCR”?
What if you could give the system a PDF, scan, photo, invoice, receipt, form or handwritten document and get back structured, validated data that your software can actually use?
Then connect that data to workflows, APIs, webhooks, SAP, ServiceNow, ERP, CRM or your own applications.
But now I’m working on the part I’m probably most excited about:
Formalini Blueprints.
Instead of giving businesses a generic document AI platform and saying:
"Here are the tools. Now figure out what to build."
Blueprints will show what Formalini can become for a specific business or profession.
A law firm shouldn't have to imagine how document AI could work for legal matters.
A hotel shouldn't have to design its own document workflow from scratch.
An accounting department shouldn't need to figure out how invoices should move from PDF → extraction → validation → approval → ERP.
A developer shouldn't need weeks to understand how to integrate all of this.
The Blueprint should already understand the problem.
Legal. Accounting. SAP. ServiceNow. Healthcare. Tourism. Insurance. Real estate.
And many more.
The long-term idea is that Formalini isn't simply somewhere you upload a document.
It becomes the bridge between documents and the systems, workflows and people that need the information inside them.
And eventually, I want other developers and companies to be able to build on top of that ecosystem too.
But Product Hunt also showed me something important.
People can find something interesting enough to vote for it without necessarily trying it.
And that gap matters enormously to me right now.
So I have a question, particularly for anyone who saw Formalini but didn't try it:
What stopped you?
Was it unclear what Formalini actually does?
Did it look like another OCR product?
Could you not immediately see a use case for yourself or your company?
Was there too much to understand before getting started?
Or was it simply something you didn't need right now?
I'm not looking for compliments.
At this stage, one honest sentence explaining why you didn't use Formalini is probably more valuable to me than another upvote.
To the 70 people who already supported it: thank you.
You helped a product built largely by one person reach #26 out of 1,176 products.
Now I need to turn that momentum into something much bigger.
Would love to answer any questions especially as this product is both for B2B and regular people and I don't know about you but for me it made a big difference in my life. I'm using it personally to keep track of my costs with minimum effort, keep track of my insuraces, deadlines and many others. As for the business side, this is a literal monster.
