“I’ve checked my terminal way too many times waiting for a task to finish This is a pretty nice fix for that.”

This is the kind of thing I’d use when grabbing coffee while a longer task is running.

The dynamic Island support is actually a really good fit for this kind of app.

Hi Product Hunt, I'm Pokai. I love the way Grok Bot, Muse and Dots work: persistent named bots you message like teammates. I wanted that without being locked to one model or paying another subscription, so I built Codync: a 1:1 open-source alternative that is 100% free.
Star the repo at https://github.com/leepokai/Codync thx!
How it differs from Grok Bot, Muse and Dots:
1. 100% free, open source. MIT licensed. No subscription, no paid tier, no credits. Even the relay that reaches your computer from anywhere is free. 2. Bring your own coding agent. Codync speaks ACP, the Agent Client Protocol, so Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, Gemini, Copilot and about 40 more agents work with the logins you already have. Mix them in one group chat, or let a Claude bot ask a Codex bot for a review. 3. Built in Rust, native everywhere. The host is one small Rust binary on your Mac or Linux machine; the apps are SwiftUI on iPhone and Mac, GTK on Linux, plus a terminal UI over SSH. No web views. 4. Your computer, your code. Bots, transcripts and memory stay on your machine. The phone connects end-to-end encrypted, through the relay or directly on the same Wi-Fi or Tailscale, and notification text is sealed to your phone's key.
On the iPhone: approve the edits and commands a bot wants to run, put bots in a room, start threads, follow a working bot from the Dynamic Island and Lock Screen, keep bots and Claude/Codex usage on your Home Screen, view your screen remotely, or talk to a bot on a voice call. You only get a notification when a bot needs you or finishes.
Install on Mac with one line or the DMG, then pair the iPhone app. Would love to hear which agents you run and what a bot should do next.

Apple Watch notifications make a lot of sense here. Nice not having to check the laptop every time
